Company Timeline
2008 - MCIP Established
Started in 2008 by Benjamin Mosqueda and the Mosqueda family, MCIP focused on industrial paint applications, painting everything from heavy equipment to tanks and trailers. Since inception the family had a focus on customer service and quality product.
2016 - Installed the 1st FBE Line
In 2016, MCIP entered the FBE application market with the capabilities to FBE coat 1.315-inch O.D. through 10.75-inch OD material at its first facility on Reeveston Rd. in North Houston.
2017 - Added ARO to Product Offerings
MCIP expands its plant to accommodate pipe up to 24” in diameter and added dual layer ARO coating to further increase its capabilities.
2020 - MCIP Purchased Shawcor Pearland
MCIP purchases all of the coating assets of Shawcor Pipe Protection, and leases its former Pearland, TX facility expanding its capabilities even further with the current plants in operation today.
2024 - Milestone Aquires MCIP
Milestone Capital / D2 Equity purchase a controlling interest in MCIP to continue its growth trajectory and build upon the legacy started by Benjamin Mosqueda.
The Pearland, Texas facility has been providing pipe coating solutions to the onshore and offshore industries since the 1960s (Surfcote, Gaido-Lingle, Energy Coatings, Bredero-Price, Berdero-Shaw, Shawcor, and now MCIP). It has an extensive track record of providing
clients with high quality products and services that gives customers the confidence that projects will be executed on time and within budget. To date, the Pearland facility has coated more feet of pipe than just about any other facility in the US. Continuing with this tradition, MCIP offers Liquid coatings, FBE, Dual layer FBE, 3-layer polyethylene and polypropylene, along with Powercrete and soon to be offering internal FBE.
The facility utilizes the latest manufacturing technology and practices which results in highly efficient and flexible process lead times for orders. The Pearland facility is located near the Houston/Galveston ports and pipe can be efficiently received and loaded out for all project requirements. With over 125 acres of pipe storage available and direct rail access, the Pearland facility is ideal for stocking programs and providing logistics services to customers.
There is a long history here of coating since the 1960s. This facility has coated more linear feet of pipe than just about any where in the country.
